1. Acceptance of Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and SystemDesignDraw ("we", "us", "our"). By visiting our website, using our Excalidraw-powered canvas studio, or referencing our distributed system blueprints, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Intellectual Property & Diagram Ownership
Your Diagrams & Exports: You own all intellectual property rights in the drawings, vector nodes, flowcharts, schemas, and diagrams you create using SystemDesignDraw. When you export your designs to SVG, PNG, or JSON formats, you are granted complete freedom to:
- Publish diagrams in commercial articles, technical books, and blog posts
- Present diagrams in internal corporate design reviews and client meetings
- Submit diagrams in technical interviews and portfolio presentations
- Store diagrams in public or private GitHub repositories
Platform Content: The design, layout, logo, code repository, written blueprint explanations, capacity formulas, and curated educational guides on SystemDesignDraw are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. Open-source dependencies (such as Excalidraw, Astro, and Tailwind CSS) remain under their respective open-source licenses (MIT).
3. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree to use SystemDesignDraw only for lawful purposes. You agree NOT to:
- Engage in any denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, automated abusive querying, or excessive traffic generation that degrades service performance for other users.
- Scrape or mirror the entirety of our website content to create a deceptive or malicious duplicate service.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, probe, or breach the security measures of our edge distribution network.
- Use our interactive whiteboard tools to generate or distribute unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or harmful content.
4. Educational Disclaimer & Capacity Calculations
The blueprints, architectural patterns (e.g., Netflix Video Streaming, Uber Geospatial Dispatch, Stripe Payment Ledger), and capacity calculators provided on SystemDesignDraw are intended for educational and conceptual training purposes, specifically system design interview prep and distributed systems literacy.
Real-world production engineering architectures require extensive multi-variable considerations including hardware specs, network topology, cloud provider SLAs, compliance frameworks (PCI-DSS, HIPAA), and budget constraints. We make no warranty that implementations based on our theoretical blueprints will perform without failure in real production environments.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
SYSTEMDESIGNDRAW IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR FREE FROM ERRORS OR BROWSER STORAGE CORRUPTION.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SYSTEMDESIGNDRAW AND ITS CONTRIBUTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, SYSTEM DOWNTIME, OR FINANCIAL LOSS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE OUR TOOLS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
