The Executive Summary (Local-First Guarantee)
- ✓Zero Cloud Whiteboard Storage: Your architecture diagrams, sketches, and notes are processed locally in your browser and stored in your device's HTML5 localStorage. They are never uploaded or inspected on our servers.
- ✓Zero Registration: We do not require accounts, logins, passwords, or phone numbers to use any part of the whiteboard, blueprints, or cheat sheet calculators.
- ✓Diagram Ownership: You retain 100% ownership of any diagram, PNG, SVG, or JSON file you design or export with our studio.
1. Information We Do Not Collect (Your Designs)
Unlike proprietary SaaS diagramming software, SystemDesignDraw operates on a local-first architectural paradigm. When you draw system blueprints, arrange microservice nodes, or enter data into our scale estimation calculators:
- All whiteboard elements, vectors, and coordinates are rendered directly on your client GPU and CPU via the open-source Excalidraw engine.
- Autosave state is committed strictly to your browser's local sandbox (
localStorage/IndexedDB). - We do not possess a central database of user drawings, confidential company architectures, or proprietary system schemas.
2. Information We Collect Automatically (Log Files)
Like virtually all modern web properties, our hosting infrastructure automatically captures basic technical log entries when your browser requests static assets. This technical telemetry includes:
- Internet Protocol (IP) address and approximate geographic country
- Browser type, device classification, and operating system version
- Referring URL and requested page paths
- Date, time stamp, and response code of network requests
This data is used strictly for edge caching optimization, DDoS mitigation, rate limiting, and ensuring platform reliability. Log files are not linked to any personally identifiable information.
